About Us

"If we carry on living as we are, 9 out of 10 children will grow up with dangerous levels of fat in their bodies".

Childhood obesity is a growing problem. The latest NHS childhood obesity statistics found that just over one in five reception-age children and nearly one in three Year 6 children are obese or overweight.

The cost of this trend for society is concerning and the impact on our children's future is a worry. Most people agree something needs to be done and early education about the importance of making healthy choices and leading an active lifestyle is key. After all, if children can be empowered to make healthy choices NOW, it could help them stay a healthy weight and avoid preventable lifestyle and diet related diseases such as obesity and diabetes in adulthood.

Primary schools and individual teachers can play a hugely important role in encouraging young children to develop healthy habits. And Love Our Health's resources are here to help.

Our range of interactive healthy diaries and workbooks are designed to equip Key Stage 2 children with the knowledge, confidence and experience to make healthy decisions independently.
